Let's start this course by introducing ourselves... I'll go first.
When I'm not teaching all of you here at San Benito High, I run a nonprofit called Annie'sBlankets, which collects bedding for animal shelters. Yes, I'm an animal person! I also ride my horse, Ruby, and spend a lot of time hiking my little blue cattledog, Scout. I graduated from UCLA (Go Bruins!) and am a passionate baseball fan (Go Giants!). I've also written five novels (none published) and am a believer in creative expression and lifelong learning. My husband, Mr. Achterman, is the librarian here at the high school and often our go-to guy.
